English Distillery
Take one of a range of guided tours at The English Distillery, the first to make whisky in England for more than 100 years and a trailblazer for others to follow. Opened in 2007 by King Charles III (formerly HRH The Prince of Wales), this independent distillery, the vision of father and son James and Andrew Nelstrup, is sited above a source of sweet, mineral-rich water which gives the whisky its distinctive taste.

Black Shuck Distillery Experience
Named after the savage hound of local folklore, Black Shuck Distillery has two hour tours on which you can learn about the distillation process, take a look behind the scenes and enjoy generous tastings from the extensive range of Black Shuck spirits and liqueurs.
Thing to do nearby: Head along the A47 for the Norfolk Food Hall and the Goat Shed.
The Gin Academy
Make your own gin with Gyre & Gimble at The Gin Academy in the picturesque Victorian Arcade in historic Norwich. Hosted by a master distiller, you’ll be guided through choosing your own botanicals from a selection of thirty, learn to dilute your spirt and then finally distil and label your unique bottle.
Things to do nearby: You’re in the heart of historic and cultural Norwich, the best-preserved medieval city in the UK. Explore cobbled Elm Hill, The Lanes laden with independent shops, the largest permanent covered market in northern Europe, and magnificent Norman cathedral and castle.
