Nourish your appetite and your soul with some of the best fresh seafood and shellfish in the British Isles, artisan cheeses and bread, tastings at vineyards, even classic fish and chips.
The Home of the Harvest Trail will take you from historic maritime King's Lynn in Royal Norfolk to the coast to see the UK's largest seal colony, on to the Broads National Park for time on the water, then to Norwich, with its buzzing cultural scene and lively city centre.
Then head over the border to Suffolk for an award-winning vineyard, coastal exploration with smokehouses producing tasty ham as well as oysters, explore seaside Aldeburgh and Ipswich's vibrant waterfront.
This itinerary would make the perfect short break or long weekend.

Saltmarsh + seafood
Arrive in King's Lynn by rail or car. Visitors arriving by train can collect a car hire in the town.
Start with lunch at Eric's Fish & Chips at Thornham, where a modern take on the the classic seaside favourite can be enjoyed indoors, outdoors or a a picnic among the orchards. For something different, there's tempting tapas.
Harvest Hero: Eric's indulgent deep-fried jam sandwich, crisp and golden on the outside with a warm, sweet centre.
Slow down with a Finnish-style sauna and cold-plunge experience in lovely countryside at Drove Orchards, a collection of funky outlets that includes antique and bric-a-brac.
Take your choice of things to do:
Blakeney Seal Trip: Take a boat from Morston Quay to Blakeney Point, home to England's largest grey seal colony. Sailing times follow the tide, so it's worth booking ahead. Go with Beans or Bishops.
Congham Hall Spa: Start the journey with time to relax and recharge at Congham Hall's spa, set within peaceful Norfolk countryside. Enjoy treatments, thermal facilities and time to unwind before continuing towards the coast.
RSPB Titchwell Marsh: Discover one of Norfolk's most celebrated wildlife reserves, exploring reedbeds, freshwater lagoons, saltmarsh and beach, with opportunities to spot an abundance of birdlife throughout the year.
Harvest Hero: Brancaster mussels, landed locally are best enjoyed with views across the salt marshes at The White Horse.

Broads + buzzy city
Browse The Goat Shed farm shop, meet local producers and pick up artisan treats for a picnic on the Broads. You might even get the chance to stroke a goat.
The menu has excellent choices for breakfast if you've not eaten at your overnight accommodation.
Harvest Heroes: Amongst all the goat milk-based products, top picks are Norfolk Mardler and Wensum White.

Barnes Brinkcraft, Wroxham: Hire a self-drive boat and explore the Norfolk Broads with a picnic filled with local produce.
Woodforde's Brewery Tour: Visit one of Norfolk's best-known breweries for a tasting, brewery tour and head for lunch at the brewery tap, The Fur & Feather, probably the prettiest pub in Norfolk with thatched roof and pond.
Sainsbury Centre: Discover art inspired by people, place and the natural world at the Sainsbury Centre, set within the parkland of the University of East Anglia and surrounded by an outdoor sculpture trail.
Harvest Hero: At the end of the Woodforde's Brewery Tour, take a look in the shop for some bottles of beer - there's a big range to choose from.
Later in the day, head to Norwich. Explore the Cathedral Quarter, Elm Hill, Norwich Market and the independent shops, cafés and restaurants of the Norwich Lanes including Yalm.

Start your day at Emmett's Smokehouse in Peasenhall in beautiful Suffolk countryside. Step inside this small-batch smokehouse for a tasting of its cult-favourite hams and bacon, cured using techniques passed down three generations.
Harvest Hero: Suffolk Black Ham is marinated in black porter beer, molasses and brown sugar, then smoked over beechwood in the same smokehouses Emmett's has used since 1820.
Aldeburgh is one of Suffolk's most iconic seaside towns. Wander along the shingle beach lined with colourful fishing boats, admire the pastel-coloured cottages, browse independent shops and enjoy Aldeburgh's famous fish and chips before continuing your journey.
Snape Maltings is your next stop. Browse independent shops, galleries and exhibitions, enjoy lunch overlooking the River Alde and experience one of Suffolk's best-loved cultural destinations. Snape Maltings hosts the annual Aldeburgh Music Festival and Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival.
Head to picturesque Orford, home of a Norman castle, a national nature reserve on Ness Point and Pump Street Bakery. Stop for pastries, sourdough and bean-to-bar chocolate before exploring Orford’s village streets and waterfront. Pump Street patrons can book classes to learn how to craft chocolate, learn how to bake artisan goods and learn about sourdough.
