An Elizabethan country house hotel dating from 1530, it is said that Elizabeth I once held court here. The Hall has lost none of its Tudor grandeur. Furnished as a private house throughout with many period pieces, panelled rooms, carved doors, and great stone fireplaces are displayed against the splendour of English Oak. Local delicacies such as the house speciality lobster feature on the a la carte menu. The courtyard area was converted from a Tudor tithe barn, dairy, and coach house. It now incorporates 10 charming cottage-style suites and a modern leisure complex with a heated swimming pool, exercise machines, spa bath, and beauty salon.
