Saxmundham

Saxmundham is a historic market town in Suffolk, England, close to the Suffolk coast, with Georgian and Victorian buildings and a railway station. It offers a variety of shops, cafés, pubs and places to stay and has a charming town museum.

Saxmundham, bypassed on the A12 between London and Lowestoft, is located in the valley of the River Fromus, 18 miles north-east of Ipswich and on the scenic railway line between Ipswich and Lowestoft.

Saxmundham has the closest railway station to RSPB Minsmere, Westleton, Dunwich, Thorpeness and Aldeburgh.
