Wool town + Harry Potter

Lavenham

Historic market town Lavenham is the capital of the medieval Wool Towns in Suffolk, England. It is 18 miles from Ipswich, 12 miles from Bury St Edmunds and 36 miles from Cambridge.

The 15th and 16th wool trade made Lavenham one of the 20 wealthiest towns in the country but the Industrial Revolution took that industry to the north.

Graded buildings in Lavenham include the National Trust Guildhall, Litle Hall, The Swan Hotel, De Vere House and St Peter and St Paul’s Church. De Vere, Guildhall and Swan featured in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.
