Kersey

Kersey is a small ‘chocolate box’ village in the Wool Towns of Suffolk, England, 11 miles west of Ipswich.

The village is known for its picturesque main street with timber-framed medieval houses and a ford of a tributary from the River Brett known locally as ‘The Splash’.

Due to its prettiness, Kersey has featured in films and TV show, including Magpie Murders and Lovejoy.

A coarse woollen cloth called Kersey cloth takes its name from the village, with a particular colour called Kersey Green.
