Fakenham
Fakenham is a large market town by the River Wensum, 25 miles north-west of Norwich and close to the coast in Norfolk, England.
It is close to pilgrimage village Walsingham, nature-inspired Pensthorpe with indoor and outdoor attractions, Langham Glass and Thursford with its steam museum and Christmas Spectacular. Fakenham itself has a popular racecourse.
The name Fakenham could be interpreted as ‘homestead of Facca’ or ‘place on a fair river’.
