About Ely - Men Walking and Talking

Join the Men Walking and Talking group at Fullers Mill Garden, with local Ely group leader James for a friendly walk, open up at your own pace, and support each other through conversation

Men Walking and Talking run mental health walks, with the aim of bringing men together in a safe space to end the stigma around men's mental health by supporting each other.

This is the biggest free mental wellbeing initiative in the area and has supported over 40+ gents with those wanting to...

- Get some exercise

- Meet new people

- Get stuff off their chests

Initially started in 2021 by Dan Reid in Telford, and having only one attendee on the first walk, it has now grown to 65 walks across 28 counties.

In 2022, Men Walking and Talking became a Community Interest Corporation (CIC) and in November of 2023 we became organisational members of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).

Entry to garden is free - upon arrival, say your visiting for the men's group and ask for James, staff will then direct you.
