Step aboard one of the Trust’s passenger boats and experience the stunning landscapes of the River Stour Navigation, from Sudbury and Great Cornard to the picturesque Dedham Vale. Cruise through the scenery that inspired renowned artist John Constable, taking in peaceful riverside views, historic locks and charming villages along the way.

With fully trained volunteer crews guiding your journey, every boat trip offers a unique insight into the river’s fascinating heritage while supporting the ongoing conservation and restoration of this special landscape. Choose from a range of boat experiences, including trips aboard Edwardian Lady, Rosette, Francis J Batten, John Constable, Stour Trusty II and Kathleen.

Visitors can also join guided walks and water experiences or explore the Trust’s Visitor Education Centre to discover more about the history of the navigation, its locks and the important work carried out to preserve this beautiful waterway.
