Southwold Beach sits below the town and its pier on the Suffolk Coast. The beach is backed by a promenade and rows of beach huts.
The shoreline is a mix of sand and shingle, with broader sandy areas exposed at low tide. The pier extends into the sea and is a prominent feature along the seafront.

Pay-and-display car parks are available near the seafront and in the town centre.

Access is via steps and sloping paths from the promenade.
