About Lowestoft Beach

Overview

Lowestoft Beach runs along the town's seafront on the Suffolk Coast and is one of the main sandy beaches in the county.

The shoreline is predominantly sand, with firm areas exposed at low tide. A promenade runs along the back of the beach with gardens, cafes and leisure facilities nearby.

Parking

Multiple pay-and-display car parks are located along the seafront and within the town centre.

Access

Access is level from the promenade onto the sand in many areas, with additional steps and ramps at access points.

Getting there

Lowestoft is reached via the A12 and A47 and has its own railway station with regular services.
