Burnham Overy Staithe Beach is reached from the harbour village via a coastal path across marshland. The beach sits beyond dunes and creeks, creating separation from the village.
At low tide, wide sands and shallow channels are exposed.
Parts of the surrounding marsh are protected for wildlife, including waders and wildfowl at certain times of year.

Parking is available in a small pay-and-display car park near the harbour.
Access
Access involves a walk of approximately one mile along a mostly flat coastal path.

Burnham Overy Staithe lies just off the A149 between Brancaster and Wells-next-the-Sea.
