Horsey

Horsey is a village in the Broads National Park in Norfolk, England, 17 miles north east of Norwich and 10 miles north of Great Yarmouth.

Horsey boasts a windpump, built in 1912, which has been fully restored by the National Trust. Next to it is Horsey Mere, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, which is rich in wildlife, include natterjack toads.

The National Trust also manage Horsey Dunes behind which is a beach popular with visitors, including grey seals.

The village name is Anglo-Saxon and derives from Old English for horse island.
