Hickling

Hickling is a village in the Broads National Park in Norfolk, England, 15 miles from Great Yarmouth and 19 miles from Norwich.

Hickling village is situated next to the Hickling Broads: Hickling Green and Hickling Heath, the latter of which attracts visitors who moor their boats at the staithe. It is possible to reach Potter Heigham from here and Great Yarmouth.

Landmarks are Hickling Priory and Grade II listed Hickling Mill, built in 1818 and one of few in the Broads preserved in good condition.

The name come from ‘Hicel’s place’ or ‘Hicel’s people’,
