Framlingham
Framlingham is a historic and vibrant market town in Suffolk, England, 16 miles from Ipswich and close to the coast. It is most famous for its curtain-wall Norman castle which has a good exhibition telling its history, a wall-top walk around the battlements with panoramic views over the mere, and impressive outer earthworks.
A Fairtrade town, ‘Fram’ as it’s known to the locals has lots of independent shops, pubs, cafes and places to eat on and around Market Hill. It also hosts excellent markets on Tuesday and Saturday mornings featuring artisan bread and cheese, cakes, fruit and vegetables.
