About The Art of Roller Skating by Debby Besford
Step into the world of artistic roller skating through the lens of award-winning photographer Debby Besford. Featuring more than 40 photographs, this exhibition follows the journeys of seven young female artistic roller skaters over the last ten years, capturing the dedication, ambition and artistry behind the sport.
A former skater and national judge from Great Yarmouth, Debby brings a unique personal perspective to her work. Her photographs place skaters beyond the rink, revealing the balance between everyday life and the commitment required to compete at the highest level.
Highlights include The Jump Series, a dynamic collection of high-speed photographs and films capturing the precision, strength and determination behind every leap. Also on display is a collection of roller skating memorabilia from the 1960s to the present day, including vintage posters, skates, costumes and medals celebrating Great Yarmouth's rich roller skating heritage.
Special exhibition included in general admission
