Swift Willow Weaving Workshopat RSPB Minsmere

Guided by two experienced basket makers, you'll learn traditional willow weaving skills and techniques while creating beautiful pieces for your home or garden.In June, to celebrate the return of our migratory birds, the Coddiwomplers will be teaching a willow swift workshop. This project uses ‚'flat weave', which is a simple, versatile weave that is perfect for beginners. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to weave 1 or 2 swifts (or are they swallows?) and some willow leaves.The course is suitable for beginners, so no prior experience is required. However, manual dexterity and hand strength will be needed.Teas, coffees, and biscuits will be provided.Reserve entry is included.Places are limited, so advance booking is essential.
