About Sandringham Signature Tour

Experience Sandringham House and Gardens with this exclusive guided private tour, which includes rooms which have never before been open to the public. Beginning with a guided walk through the Sandringham Gardens with one of our knowledgeable stewards, guests will learn about His Majesty’s passion for horticulture and how his vision for the gardens and landscape is being brought to life. Entering the House, guests will discover rooms, where five generations of British Monarchs have made Sandringham a much-cherished home. Once described as ‘the most comfortable house in England’, the House has remained a place where members of The Royal Family enjoy relaxing and country pursuits, and is traditionally where they spend Christmas. This exclusive tour will take in rooms that have not been open to the public before, including guest bedrooms, the Billiards Room, and the Long Library – where Queen Elizabeth II’s 1957 Christmas Broadcast became the first to be televised. Filled with works of art collected by Kings and Queens across the generations, these rooms are an important part of the rich history of Sandringham House. During the tour, guests will also be able to enjoy a glass of Sandringham Gin and tonic – distilled using botanicals grown in the Gardens – or a glass of apple juice made from fruit in the Sandringham orchards, planted by King George VI in the 1930s. Tours begin at 4.30pm and conclude at 6.30pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
