About Phytogram Printmaking Workshop

with Rowan Collinson. Morning session.

Price: £42 per person
(All materials provided)

This workshop introduces participants to phytogram printmaking — a camera-less photographic process that uses the natural chemistry of plants to create unique images using sunlight. Led by Rowan Collinson, the session explores the full phytogram process, from preparing a plant-based developer to exposing the prints.

The workshop encourages slow looking, experimentation and close attention to natural materials, resulting in one-of-a-kind works shaped by seasonal light and organic processes. The session forms part of Rowan Collinson’s June Artist in Residence programme, A Field Study: Documenting Four Seasons, which considers ecology, place and the quiet transformation of the landscape through sustainable photographic practice.
