Begin your Sunday with good food, local produce and a morning walk through one of Norfolk’s most remarkable gardens.

Our Sunday Farmers’ Market brings together local growers, bakers, cooks, farmers and independent food producers in the beautiful surroundings of Bressingham Hall.

Come for coffee and breakfast, meet friends in the courtyard, discover something delicious to take home and find the ingredients for Sunday lunch. Depending on the month and season, you might find freshly baked bread and pastries, meat, cheese, cakes, preserves, plants, flowers, seasonal produce and hot food to enjoy while you are here.

But this is more than a shopping trip.

Make a purchase from any of our market traders and you are invited to explore the Bressingham Gardens between 9am and 11am. Wander among the famous island beds, mature trees and changing seasonal planting before the rest of your Sunday begins.

There is no need to rush and no expectation that you must fill a basket. Buy a coffee, a loaf of bread, breakfast or something special for later—and enjoy a gentler Sunday morning at Bressingham.

Bring a friend, meet the people behind the food and rediscover the pleasure of shopping locally.

Dogs welcome on a lead at the market and venue. Dogs are not currently allowed around the gardens. Sorry!

NOTE: Access to the Farmers Market does not grant access to the Steam Museum without a ticket.

DIRECTIONS

Bressingham Hall lies on the A1066, three miles going west from Diss or 15 miles going east from Thetford. The Hall is immediately west of the Steam Museum and Garden Centre but please follow the signs which say “Bressingham Hall and High Barn Only” and then park in the car park adjoining the High Barn. (If you are coming from Thetford and reach the Garden Centre/Steam Museum you have gone too far. Coming from Diss the drive you want is immediately after the Steam Museum).
