A Christmas Wrap-Upat Mill Tye Gallery and Arts Centre

Get into the spirit of the season with artist Wendy J. Allen in this joyful, hands-on festive workshop inspired by her exhibition 'In Good Company'.

Using bold colour and expressive mark-making, you'll explore acrylic paint in wild and wonderful ways to create your own bespoke wrapping paper, a painted gift box, and a set of seasonal cards bursting with personality. Expect a morning full of creativity, conversation and colour — perfect for adding an artistic touch to your Christmas gifting this year.

This is a relaxed and playful session designed for all abilities, where you'll be encouraged to let loose, experiment, and have fun with paint.

All materials will be provided. But please feel free to bring your own acrylic paints. Enjoy tea, coffee, mince pies and other Christmas-themed treats throughout the morning.

What to wear: Comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting paint on, or an apron.

Access: Please note this workshop is held in the upper gallery, which is not suitable for wheelchair users. We apologise for any inconvenience. Spaces are limited – early booking is essential!
